![]() ![]() ![]() Finish has an old recoat, which is possibly shellac, with a few drips and crud adhered to surface. There are no cracks or separations to body. I believe this could be improved quite a bit with some modifications to the bridge/saddle height. Intonation is pretty good, but action is a little high, 1/4 in. It's currently strung with light guage silk and steel strings. Back is scalloped ladder braced, and top has a scalloped diagonal brace across running under bridge. When found, tailpiece, pictured, was used, and was tied to end strap button. I believe this guitar is all original, including unusual bridge which has factory drilled string holes through base, that are recessed (counter-sunk) on fretboard side. Bridge is either ebony or stained fruitwood. ![]() Numerous scratches and a few small dings. Antique Lyon & Healy "Jupiter" parlor guitar with spruce top and birch or maple back & sides. ![]()
